In the morning, every minute counts. It’s easy to get into the routine of eating the same thing day after day, but with this breakfast sandwich from Genesis Aleman, I would be fine with that. This sandwich, like many of the recipes featured on this site, is easily customizable to your liking. Feel like adding in a slice of tomato? Go for it. Below, we’ve listed some suggestions on the best sandwich hacks around. How do you prepare your breakfast sandwich? Let us know in the comments.
- Turkey Ham or Other Meat
- Sliced Cheese
- Cream Cheese
- Optional: Tabasco
- Toast your bagel in the toaster oven.
- Heat cheese on top of meat on a plate in the microwave.
- When the bagel is ready, place cream cheese on one half, and the meat and cheese on the other.
- Add tobacco sauce.
College Fed Suggested Modifications
The Caprese – Add in Tomato, Mozzarella, and some dried basil from the spice cabinet.
Presto Pesto – Spread some pesto sauce on one half of the bagel before adding in the meat. Pesto can be bought pre-made from the store.
Sautéed Sandwich– In a frying pan, combine cut up breakfast meat with vegetables like onions and mushrooms. Add the cheese in and add your sautéed mix onto the bagel. Be careful not to add so many vegetables that it doesn’t fit on the sandwich!
(DDF Tip- Do your bagels keep getting moldy before you can finish them all? Throw the bag into the freezer and microwave your morning bagel for 30 seconds before you enjoy your breakfast!)
